Intelligent Automation as a fully managed service

We design, build, monitor and maintain your automations so you can focus on your business. No infrastructure headaches. No staffing worries. Just results.

Sound familiar?

Most companies know they need to automate, but getting there is harder than it sounds. There's no one in-house who knows how. The integrations are complex. Setup costs are high and by the time anything gets delivered, the momentum is gone.

Meanwhile, your people are still copying data between screens, printing invoices and re-typing numbers into spreadsheets. It's not their fault. The tools just aren't talking to each other.

That's exactly what we fix.

Automations running

Built by people who've actually done the work

Team 14 was founded in May 2024 by Bardo Schütz and Christian Rockrohr, two people who spent five years building and running automation platforms together before deciding to do it their own way.

The name comes from leet speak: "Intelligent Automation" written in code becomes "1n73ll1g3n7 4u70m4710n",  the 1 and the 4 stay with us. It's a small nod to the fact that we genuinely speak the language of technology.

Between them, Bardo and Christian bring over 25 years of hands-on experience, from building digital backbones for European customs operations to developing deep technical expertise on the Lobster Data Platform. They've seen what goes wrong in large automation projects. They've been the people cleaning up the mess. Now they do it right from the start.

The team is small on purpose. Small means direct contact, short feedback loops and no time wasted in status meetings about status meetings.

FAQ

Can we start small?

Yes and we recommend it. Pick one high-impact process, automate it, see the results. Then scale from there. You don't need to redesign your entire operation to get started.

Do we need to buy our own Lobster license?

No. You run on our infrastructure and our Lobster environment. That means no license costs, no setup headaches and no maintenance on your end. If you ever want to move to your own Lobster instance, we'll support a smooth migration, but there's no pressure to do so.

How quickly can you get started?

Faster than you'd expect. After an initial scoping session we typically have a first automation live within a few weeks. We don't do six-month discovery phases, we get into it and deliver.

We're not a tech company. Can you still help us?

Absolutely. Most of our clients aren't tech companies. You don't need an IT department, a developer or any knowledge of the Lobster platform. You tell us what needs to happen, we take care of how.

What systems do you connect to?

Pretty much anything. ERPs like SAP, Microsoft Dynamics and AFAS, CRMs, TMSs, cloud platforms like AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, APIs, databases, legacy systems and everything in between. If it has a connection point, we can work with it.

How is this different from hiring a developer?

A developer builds something and moves on. We stay. We monitor, maintain and improve your automations continuously. And you're not dependent on one person, you get 25+ years of combined experience, available when you need it.

What does "fully managed" actually mean?

It means we handle everything after the conversation, design, build, hosting, monitoring, maintenance and support. If something breaks at 2am, that's our problem, not yours. You get the results, we carry the complexity.

Is our data secure?

Yes. You keep full ownership of your data at all times. We run secure cloud or hybrid environments and provide full visibility into what's running, how it's performing and where your data goes. No black boxes.

Step 1 — Let's talk

We start with a short introductory call, no presentation, no sales pitch. Just a conversation about where you are, what's not working and whether we can help. Half an hour is usually enough to know if there's a fit.

Step 2 — We come to you

If there's a match, we meet in person. We dig into your processes, get a feel for your systems and map out the biggest opportunities together. By the end of the session, you'll have a clear picture of what's possible — and a concrete plan to make it happen.

Step 3 — We get to work

Once the plan is agreed, we build. You'll have your first automation live within weeks, not months. From there, we manage everything and keep improving as we go.
